Wang Xiaoding is a Cross-media artists, Independent designers, and Art planner. Mr. Wang is the Vice president of Guangzhou Alumni Association of Tsinghua University, the President of Guangzhou Alumni Association of Academy of Fine Arts of Tsinghua University.

Mr. Wang was born in Hebei in 1972, and grew up in the campus environment of Hebei normal University. At the age of 14, he began to study with the artist Prof. Li Yichang. In 1991, He Was admitted to the Central Academy of Arts and Crafts (now the Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University), major in dyeing, weaving, and clothing design. And then graduated with a bachelor’s degree in 1995.

Mr. Wang had a extensive and rich artistic work experience, expanding the fields of creation, design, and handicraft manufacturing. In the pursuit of artistic creation, he adheres to the concept of modern art and Chinese traditional handicraft, combined in his personal design brand.

1990-1991 Worked as an art editor at Hebei Economic Daily.

1995-1997 Worked as a designer at the Science and Technology Branch of the Guangzhou Branch of the People’s Bank of China, in Guangzhou.

1996 Rich Flower (Propylene Oil Color work) won ‘The Taki  Fuji  Art  Award’.

1996 Obtained a certificate of professional study in printing and platemaking from Hong Kong’s Paolong Foreign Trade Co., Ltd.

1997-2007 As the general manager of Guangzhou Golden Color Separation Advertising Co., Ltd. he  designed albums for various art galleries, universities, publishing houses, newspapers, magazines, and periodicals. He specializes in printing and plate making. His company is well-known in the industry.

2008- Established the Guangzhou Today Color Art Co., Ltd. Founded the professional screen, digital print printing brand, cooperated to create the screen, digital printmaking works many times with the art institutions and many artists at home and abroad.

2011- Participated in planning the large-scale celebration activities in Guangzhou of the Tsinghua University Centenary.

2013- Participated in organizing alumni activities aimed at Friendship, Career and Value.

2015- Created Ding Qi, a personal handicraft brand, and registered it as a trademark. The high-end handicrafts he designed and produced combined contemporary art innovation with Chinese traditional handicrafts, and sold well at home and abroad.

Was Invited to give a lecture Purple Sand Plastic Arts Appreciation at the charity auction by the Minsheng Bank.

2016 Jointly planned the large-scale solo exhibition evolutionary cloth——Art of Junichi Arai at Hubei Art Museum of China, with Dr. Jiang Shouxiang, Prof. Wu Fan, and Mr. Fu Zhongwang.

2017 Cooperated with Dr. Jiang Shouxiang to complete the solo exhibition Self- Organization of Junichi Arai’s Textile Anthology in Hong Kong. The large-scale album of paintings was launched on the same day.

2018 As a visiting scholar, have been studying in New York, USA. for one year.

2018 The series of works Flower Non-Flower was participated in the Contemporary Art Exhibition No Question Why in the OCT cultural and creative garden granary in ShenZhen overseas Chinese City in October.

2019 The was participated in the‘ Redeling’ contemporary art exhibition in The fifth Shanghai Youth Art Fair in October.

2020 The series of works was participated in the Mei Shan International Artists Studio Open Exhibition, Guangzhou, in November.  

2021 The series of works was participated in ‘The Community Imagination and Possible paths-Academy Space’ Art Exhibition in the Hu Bei Museum of Art in July. 

2023 The series of works was participated in ‘The Mei Shan Bonfire’ Five-a-side art exhibition in the He Mei art center, GuangZhou, in November.

2024  The work was participated in ‘Peace’- The China and Japan Contemporary Art Exchange Exhibition, in China Cultural Center, Tokyo, Japan, in April.

2024 The series of works was participated in ‘The Phoenix when the rain-Individual selection and projection in time and space’  Art Exhibition in the ChaoZhou Museum of Art, Guangdong, in April. 

2024 The work was participated in The 16th China-Japan-ROK Art and Space Modern Art Exchange Exhibition, in Fugang Museum of Art, Janpan, in June.
